Meet NC Medical Freedom Hero, Dr. Cammy Benton
For those of you who aren't familiar with Charlotte area based Dr. Cammy Benton, we are excited to introduce you to her. Cammy is a medical freedom hero and one of the few doctors in North Carolina who has publicly voiced her concerns about the harms of vaccines and other aspects of conventional medicine. Her courage to stand up and speak out not only resulted in losing many long-term friendships with fellow physicians but also led to her termination from the conventional medical practice where she worked. Fortunately, Cammy started her own, highly sought after, integrative practice in 2016. Benton Integrative Medicine has two locations – one in Huntersville, NC and one in Denver, NC.
The harmful hospital policies during Covid, including the deadly remdesivir/ventilator treatment protocol, the cruel isolation policies of not allowing family visitation with patients, and, subsequently, the refusal of treatment to the un-vaccinated became intolerable to Dr. Benton, and the idea of creating an alternative "parallel" hospital, Compass Integrative Health, was born. She has secured the location in Denver, NC and has created a blueprint of what this hospital will offer.
However, her efforts have been slowed because of dubious investigations by various state medical boards regarding her patient documentation during Covid, when Dr. Benton prescribed ivermectin to her patients. The state of North Carolina kicked off the initial investigation, but the states of Ohio and Florida have followed suit. The state of North Carolina ordered she complete a 26-hour continuing education course on documentation and regularly provide her patient charts for their review. Most recently, the state of Ohio has imposed a $1000 fee on Dr. Benton, and the state of Florida has nullified her telemedicine license. Dr. Benton is licensed in a total of seven states, in most of which she has no patients, and expects the rest of them to fall like dominoes. If she surrenders her licenses in these states it will trigger further investigation. But by keeping her licenses active she is subject to reprimands and legal fees. She has been put into a no-win situation.
Two of our HEALNC leaders had the opportunity and pleasure to spend time with Dr. Benton recently. During this conversation she told us fascinating stories about her evolution from being a questioning medical student to the doctor she is today, her children's vaccine injuries and recoveries, and her theories about why other physicians continue to promote ineffective and harmful ideas. Dr. Benton also filled us in on being fired twice - first for questioning flu vaccine policy and then for questioning ivermectin policy. She shared how her growth spiritually gave her the presence of mind to develop compassion for those who have persecuted her. She also shares how her holistic patients fared with Covid and the impact of the Covid vaccine on her patients that accepted it.
